In this sermon, Pastor Tim Miller continues reflecting on Jesus’ words, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” Drawing from the Sermon on the Mount, Proverbs, and the call to walk the narrow path, this message applies the mercy of God to the pressures, conflicts, rumors, politics, and cultural tensions of our present day. Pastor Tim calls the church to seek the wisdom of God above the noise of the world, warning against the snares that can pull believers away from the heart of Jesus. These include compromising truth, believing rumors without facts, showing double standards, dehumanizing others, rejoicing in an enemy’s downfall, and letting fear or political pressure choke out mercy. The sermon reminds us that God is merciful, impartial, consistent, and slow to anger. Because we have received mercy through Christ, we are called to extend mercy to others without abandoning truth. As followers of Jesus, our highest allegiance is not to any nation, party, leader, or movement, but to Christ Himself, the coming King who will establish perfect righteousness, justice, and peace.
