MESSAGE DETAILS

Jesus, the Promised King

This week’s message continues our journey through the Gospel of Matthew with a focus on Jesus’ identity as the long-awaited King promised throughout Scripture. Pastor Tim Miller shows how Matthew’s account presents Jesus not only as Israel’s rightful heir to David’s throne but also as the divine King for all nations. Through key Old Testament prophecies and New Testament affirmations, we see that Jesus is the Messiah—God’s anointed Son—whose coming fulfilled centuries of expectation. From the visit of the wise men to His miraculous works and bold claims, every moment testifies to His true kingship. Yet this King’s path to glory came through suffering, challenging every human assumption about power and victory. The message invites us to examine the question that every generation must answer: Is Jesus truly the King—and will we follow Him as such? Join us as we explore the evidence of His divine authority, the hope of His promised reign, and why discipleship to Jesus is the only fitting response to the One who is both Savior and King.
